Insight Investigative Group, LLCFlorida licensed private investigative agency A3400127

Terms of Service

Effective August 7, 2026. These terms apply to background investigation orders placed through this site.

1. Who you are contracting with

This service is provided by Insight Investigative Group, LLC, a licensed Florida private investigative agency, agency license A3400127, investigator license C3400073, at 3413 49th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34209. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Insight Investigative Group, LLC, and “you” means the person or entity placing the order.

2. What you are buying

You are buying an investigative report prepared by a licensed investigator, at the level you select at checkout. Each level states what it includes before you pay. We research primary sources and public records; we do not resell a database printout.

Reports are prepared to be court-ready, meaning documented and sourced so they can withstand scrutiny. Whether any report or part of it is admitted into evidence is decided by a court, not by us.

3. Permitted purposes, and the ones we cannot sell

You must select the purpose of your order truthfully, and you certify that purpose at checkout. The report may be used only for the purpose you selected.

We do not sell reports through this site for employment screening, tenant screening, or credit or insurance decisions. A report prepared for any of those purposes is a consumer report regulated under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, which requires disclosures, written authorizations, and adverse action procedures that an online checkout cannot deliver. If you need a report for one of those purposes, call 941-297-8213 and we will scope it as a managed engagement.

Ordering a report for a regulated purpose while certifying otherwise is a breach of these terms. We may cancel the order, refund it, and decline further work.

4. What we will not obtain

Regardless of what is ordered or requested, we do not obtain bank balances or account records, telephone call records, sealed or expunged records, credit reports, or medical records. Those are protected by law. Any service offering them is exposing you to liability rather than helping you.

Asset research is built entirely from public records: recorded property, business filings, liens, and registrations. It is a documented picture of what is on record, not a statement of net worth.

5. Prices, tax, and payment

Prices are published on this site and are charged in United States dollars. Florida sales tax is calculated and added at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details. The price shown before you pay is the price you pay, and there are no fees added afterwards.

6. Turnaround

Standard turnaround is 48 hours for the Background Check and 72 hours for the Comprehensive and Premium reports. Rush delivery, where offered, moves the report to 48 hours for an additional charge shown at checkout.

The clock starts when your intake is complete, not when you pay, and runs on business days. If anything in your intake needs clarifying we will contact you before the clock starts, rather than guessing and researching the wrong person. Turnaround is a commitment we take seriously, but it is not guaranteed where a records custodian, court, or agency delays a response outside our control.

7. Accuracy, and what a report cannot tell you

We report what the records show and identify our sources. Public records contain errors, omissions, and duplicate identities, and the absence of a record is not proof that an event did not occur. The more identifying detail you give us at intake, the lower the risk of mistaken identity.

A report is information, not advice. We are investigators, not attorneys, and nothing we provide is legal advice or a recommendation about what action to take.

8. Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel before research begins, we refund in full. Once research has begun, we refund the portion not yet worked, at our reasonable assessment. We do not refund a completed report because you dislike what it found or because it found nothing; an accurate report showing no adverse records is a complete result and is often the point of the exercise.

If we cannot complete an order, we refund it in full and tell you why.

9. Confidentiality

Under section 493.6119 of the Florida Statutes, a licensed investigative agency may not divulge or release the contents of an investigative file to anyone other than the client, absent the client’s prior written consent or a narrow statutory exception. That covers what we find, what you told us, and the fact that you hired us at all.

10. Records retention

Section 493.6121(2) of the Florida Statutes requires a licensed agency to retain the case file for at least 2 years. We cannot delete a file on request within that period, and we tell you so up front rather than afterwards. This is a legal floor, not a preference.

11. Your responsibilities

You agree that the information you provide at intake is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have a lawful purpose for the report, and that you will not use it to harass, stalk, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against any person. You are responsible for how you use a report once you receive it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, our total liability arising out of or relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including decisions you make or do not make on the basis of a report. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state courts located in Manatee County, Florida.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the version published on the date you placed it, and the effective date appears at the top of this page.
